Brooklyn Primary Care Center(718) 680-8881 About UsBrooklyn Primary Care Center was opened in 1997 at 5222 8th Avenue of Sunset Park, Brooklyn in order to bring comprehensive primary care to the local community. Sunset Park community has been growing in a tremendous speed, which creates the necessity of community-friendly health-care services to overcome cultural and language barriers to get adequate care.Since opening, BPCC has been serving more and more patients over the years, and the clinic has to open seven days a week. The clinic hours had to be extended to provide service for the demand of increasing patient volume. Because of the success and the rapid growth, and with the support of the community, the clinic relocates to a bigger place at the heart of the local community. Services- Internal Medicine: Min Aung Wong, M.D., Michael Guo, M.D.- Obstetric/Gynecological: Shiu Hung So, M.D. and Ming Xue Yang, M.D. - Pediatrics: Shi Wei Tong, M.D., Ye Kyaw Aung, M.D. - Ophthalmology: Keith Chang, M.D. - WIC Program (Women, Infants, and Children) - PCAP Program (Perinatal Care Assistant Program) - Medicaid Eligibility Screening Office - Child Health Plus & Family Health Plus - Breast Health Partnership (starting 2/25/05): Free full clinical breast exam, Pap smear, breast health education, and referral for same-day mammogram for eligible clients Transportation can be provided to patients for radiology, and subspecialty clinics located at New York Downtown Hospital. The staff members speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Fuzhou dialect, Spanish and Burmese. The clinic is also wheelchair accessible.
