The WIC Program is a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children.  It is also a Federally Funded Program administered by the New York State Department of Health. New York Downtown Hospital is the Sponsor of the WIC Program.
 
WIC Program Services:
 
The WIC Program provides WIC Checks for the purchase of Nutritional Foods. WIC Staff also provides counseling in Nutrition Education (obesity, eat well play hard, healthy eating habits, anemia, picky eaters, failure to thrive, immunizations, and many more), Hematology, Breastfeeding Support and Anthropometry.
