Hospital President and CEO Announces Appointment of Teresa Lin as Associate Vice President for Community Affairs and Provider Relations
I am pleased to announce that Ms. Teresa Lin has been appointed Associate Vice President for Community Affairs and Provider Relations. In this new capacity, Ms. Lin will be developing innovative programs for the Chinese community and enhancing the way the Hospital cares for its patients and their families. She will also become the Hospital’s principal representative to the Chinese community and media.
Teresa was born in Hong Kong and came to the United States when she was 15 years old. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. Teresa received her B.A. in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University and her M.B.A in Finance and Strategic Management from Pace University. Recently, she served as the Hospital’s Executive Director of the Division of Community Outreach and Provider Relations.
I wish to express my gratitude to Ms. Ailee Tsang, who previously held this position. Her many years of service to Downtown Hospital were marked by a high level of professionalism and competence. Over the years, Ailee has provided outstanding service and exhibited a profound dedication to both the Hospital and the Chinese community. I wish her well in her new endeavors. Recently Ailee organized the first Town Hall meeting held in the Chinese community, which was sponsored by the Chinese Community Benevolent Association (CCBA). This meeting allowed Downtown Hospital to express its commitment to the process of continued growth in response to the changing needs of its patients. We hope that the Hospital’s Town Hall meetings will become a tradition in the Chinese community.
