IT Analytics Report Writer

Provide maintenance, update and development of reports and database management for the Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager Analytics system. Provides technical support by developing concise and actionable reports tailored to the organization's requests. College degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline. Strong clinical background, with 3+ years of progressive clinical systems support or an equivalent combination of education/work experience. Five (5) years experience with SQL query development, MS SQL Reporting and SQL Server.

IT CPOE Analyst

Support major upcoming IT projects resulting from the implementation of Allscripts’ Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) in support of the hospital’s effort to comply with ARRA/Meaningful use. Provide expertise in design, build, and implementation of Orders, Order Sets, Results, Worklist/eMar and Facility Board maintenance. Work closely with a wide variety of clinical end users to develop and maintain order sets and to ensure that pathways within the system are as efficient and intuitive as possible. Serve as a liaison to the clinical end-users for his/her assigned area of the project. Effectively communicate clinical/workflow needs of end users. College degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline. Strong clinical background, with 2+ years of progressive clinical systems support or an equivalent combination of education/work experience. Knowledge of Allscripts’ Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) is a plus.

IT Pharmacy Systems Analyst

Support and maintain Allscripts/Eclipsys-SMM/SRx by doing routine updates, monthly updates and maintenance of the SRx Pharmacy database. These activities may include database building, data collection and cataloging of gathered information as well as documentation of processes. He/she must demonstrate strong knowledge of hospital documentation and pharmacy workflow practices/principles. Experience with Allscripts-SRx - Building orders; Express load and unloads; CPOE is a plus. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year pharmacy system experience or Certified Pharmacy Technician with a minimum 3 years pharmacy system experience.

IT Training Coordinator

Responsible for the enterprise computerized clinical training Program which includes planning, developing, organizing and coordinating all information technology related training activities and curriculum for NYDH to drive and improve critical clinical and financial outcomes. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline. Strong clinical background, with 10+ years of progressive clinical systems support or an equivalent combination of education/work experience. Previous work experience in one of the hospital clinical departments to be automated: (i.e. Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Operating Room Management, and Emergency Services). Significant exposure to and knowledge of hospital and clinical department operating policies and procedures. Extensive knowledge of the project life cycle and of clinical department’s functions and systems, and application development alternatives. Ability to work effectively with all clinical department managers and operating personnel.

Lab Technologist – Chemistry

Four years college, or Laboratory School and one year training in a school sponsored Dept. of Health which leads to a BS degree in Med Lab Technology/Biology. NYS Medical Technologist License. One year in a clinical laboratory in the Chemistry Dept. Computer literate. Ability to use all related Chemistry equipment.

Operating Room Tech

HS diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a surgical technology program required, certification preferred. Minimum of three years experience needed. Must have good interpersonal skills and work as a member of the surgical team.

Blood Bank Lab Tech

B.S. degree or equivalent. One years experience in Blood Bank. A.S.C.P. or equivalent. Board of Health Technologist License in Blood Bank.

Lab Technologist – Hematology

Four years college, or Laboratory School and one year training in a school sponsored Dept. of Health which leads to a BS degree in Med Lab Technology/Biology. NYS Medical Technologist License. One year in a clinical laboratory in the Hematology Dept. Computer literate. Ability to use all related Hematology equipment.

Certified Tumor Registrar

HS diploma or equivalent. Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification required. Prior Tumor Registrar experienced required. Demonstrated computer skills, including databases and health information systems. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team oriented environment. Ability to provide high quality customer service.
