Ethics Committee (212) 312-5000
The Ethics Committee is available for consultation regarding any and all ethical issues affecting the care of patients. The Committee includes physicians, nurses, social workers, religious leaders, community representatives, and a Hospital administrator. All are familiar with medical ethics and have practical experience in helping patients, families, and physicians with ethical issues and choices relating to patient care. There is no charge to the patient or to the patient’s insurance for the use of the Ethics Committee Consultation Service.
