In the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at New York Downtown Hospital, our surgeons perform thousands of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures each year in our state-of-the-art operating rooms. These procedures include:

The faculty practice suite on the Hospital’s eighth floor is the location of comprehensive orthopaedic care. Here, New York orthopaedic surgeons in all related specialties conduct outpatient consultations. Patients receive follow-up care in the most progressive facilities, including a dedicated Hand Center and an outpatient occupational and physical therapy center.

Renowned surgical training and patient care are cornerstones of our medical facility. Orthopaedic Surgery is a major clinical department at New York Downtown Hospital. The department offers ACGME-approved residency training for orthopaedic surgical residents who are on rotations at NYDH. Orthopaedic surgical conferences are held regularly, and there are ongoing special programs in such areas as quality assurance, continuing graduate medical education, and clinical research. The department also has a Division of Podiatric Surgery and CPME-approved podiatric surgical residency training. With a full range of orthopaedic services for patients and esteemed educational training for residents, our Orthopaedic Surgery Department delivers key clinical services at New York Downtown Hospital.
