Babies are welcomed into our New York Labor and Delivery unit, surrounded by truly attentive care. The private Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) Suites are designed for a positive, personalized birthing experience for mom, baby, and supportive family members. Our New York Labor and Delivery center has expertly equipped operating rooms, plus eight LDR rooms with the comforts of home. A soothing, yet technologically advanced, Nursery and Intensive Care Unit are located close to the patient suites. Labor and Delivery is supervised by Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists, and every staff member in the unit is passionate about providing high quality healthcare to moms and infants. Expectant mothers will appreciate the benefits that our New York Downtown Hospital offers, from safe and comfortable surroundings to the skilled expertise of board-certified New York OB/GYNs. The suites in the homelike Birthing Center at New York Downtown Hospital feature rocking chairs, private showers, kitchenettes, dining tables, and sleeper couches.
