Dr. Brisson is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
After receiving his M.D. at the University of Montreal, Dr. Brisson completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at McGill Teaching Hospitals in Montreal Canada. He subsequently completed a spinal surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York and an additional spinal surgery fellowship at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Brisson specializes in surgical treatment of degenerative diseases of the spine, including lumbar and cervical microdiscectomies for herniated discs and laminectomies for stenosis. He also performs more complex procedures, in conjunction with thoracic and vascular surgery, including anterior and posterior decompressions, and instrumentation and fusion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
